One of the fabulous things to do in winter's Aomori is to pick and eat Fukaura Yuki-Ninjin! This Fukaura’s branded carrots are kept until snowing in winter to make them much sweater than usual. You must surprise with the taste just like fruits!!

This is what more than 50,000 apples look like! Hirosaki Park in Aomori is the home to over 1300 apple trees with 65 different varieties. You can tour and have hands-on experience of the steps involved in apple production!!

AugaMarket (Auga Shinsen Ichiba) is a lively fish market located in the basement of the Auga Festival City shopping center.The local seafood is freshly brought in from Aomori Port, and you can find practically anything here from seaweed and tuna, to live octopus and Aomori's famous scallops. There are also a few restaurants that serve seafood from the market.

Hakkoda Ropeway offers a lot of fun in whole season.The “Sunset Ropeway” ride, offers only in mid-August, makes for a romantic experience. From the ropeway station on the peak, you can also enjoy casual hiking for beginners, serious climbing, and a variety of other courses.
