Aomori Spring Ski Resort is well and truly off the radar of most international skiers and snowboarders who head to Japan in search of powder. This Resort is in the vicinity of the renowned Hakkoda area and offers a modern Japanese skiing experience. It is the ideal spot for hungry powder hounds looking for a powder fix, and fabulous for those who love to launch in the terrain parks.

Moya Hills are the northern entrance to the Hakkoda mountains. This resort area welcomes visitors and invites them to enjoy outdoor activities throughout the seasons, with skiing during winter and camping during summer.

The Kamafuseyama ski resort is located on the Shimokita Peninsula, the northernmost point on the main island, at the southern peak of the Kamafuse Mountains. It is rare to have a view of the ocean (Mutsu Bay) while playing golf. On a clear day, golfers are treated to a panoramic view of grand nature, Hakkoda mountains, Shiriyazaki and as far away as Hokkaido.

This ski resort is a great spot located in the rich nature of Mt. Iwaki, also known as the Mt. Fuji of Tsugaru, with a panoramic view of Hirosaki City. There are variety of slopes to choose from, 2,000 meter bullet course and course with humps for advanced skiers and a bunny slope for the kids. Enjoy the winter in Hirosaki and have fun with snow.

It is a ski area located on the northeastern slope in Noheji Town, Makado Onsen, where can be access in approximately 10 minutes by car from JR Noheji Station. The ski area is not so large with three chairlifts and one surface lift for five courses, however any skiers or snowboarders can enjoy mainly the slope for intermediates. From the panoramic course with a total length of 2000 meters at an altitude of 310 meters, you can look down the panoramic view of the Mutsu Bay. For children and beginners, popular course is recommended, and for advanced skiers, riizen course is waiting with a slope angle of 30 degree. After skiing, visitors can enjoy and relax with hot spring of a public large bath and open-air bath made of Aomori hiba, at Makado Kanko Hotel annexed to ski area.

Located on the edge of Lake Towada Onsen Village is the Oirase Gorge Onsen Ski Resort. The facility caters to all levels of skiers, offering courses for families and more advanced options with steep inclines. Another benefit of skiing here is that you can finish up your day on the slopes with a warm soak in one of the many onsen in the village.
